From the Admin Console, you can click your user profile icon and License to view, upgrade, or remove licenses for DSX Local.
Trial license for DSX Local
You can install DSX Local with a built in trial license that expires after 60 days. To unlock the enterprise version of your DSX Local cluster, purchase and apply an enterprise license.

Trial license for Model Management and Deployment
When you install DSX Local, a built in trial license begins for IBM Deployment Manager that expires after 60 days. To unlock the enterprise version of IBM Deployment Manager, purchase and apply an enterprise license.
Specific features in DSX Local require the following licenses:
- DSX Local
- DSX Local counts the daily user license usage by Authorized Users. Users with any of the following privileges count toward this license: user or administrator.
- Model Management and Deployment
- For deploying assets in a project release and launching it in a production environment. The number of Virtual Servers configured as deployment nodes count toward this license.
Integration with IBM License Metric Tool
Using the IBM License Metric Tool, license consumption reports that count license usage can be generated for IBM Data Science Experience Local and Model Management and Deployment.
Versions of IBM License Metric Tool (ILMT) that support IBM Software License Metric Tag (SLMT) can generate license consumption reports. An ILMT agent can scan in configurable intervals the file system for .slmtag files, collect information, and send it to the corresponding ILMT server. ILMT reports the number of Authorized Users or Virtual Servers for each of the programs that are listed as Metric Subtypes in the report. These numbers are to be used as input for the License Conversion Table specified in the license information that comes with DSX Local.
